22nd February – Bury Farm Brilliance
The prancing pony put her best hoof forward and produced a winning performance tonight, breaking the 70% barrier and showing much improvement in the walk pirouettes. A pat on the back for the pilot who actually managed to remember the test and steer the pony in a half decent fashion – Roll on Nationals!
11th & 14th February – Rosie Does Regionals
Mega proud of the prancing pony, we made it to Regionals and our efforts were rewarded with three rather lovely rosettes. It wasn’t exactly plain sailing, our music wouldn’t play, I broke the zip on my boots and half way round Novice 39 I ran out of puff and almost required resuscitation. A mammoth effort to all involved for getting me a) on the horse, and b) down the centreline. The pilot celebrated survival with a huge chunk of chocolate cake, whilst the prancing pony received a big pat for putting up with some seriously suspect steering and an organic apple for getting the rider through all three tests (well one of us has to eat healthy!).
