January saw the start to our competitive 2018 season. Magic Mike exceeded all expectations and produced a PB of 73.62% in his first outing ~ good boy Mike!

Princess Fiona has made a full recovery having had her wolf teeth removed back in December. Fiona went back between the white boards and nailed both of her BD tests with 71 & 73%.

Tottie continues to grow in height and confidence, this phenomenal little mare is showing great promise as a para pony. It has been decided that my trainer will take over Tottie’s reins and campaign her at BD competitions in February whilst I concentrate on Para Nationals with the other ponies.

We have a new addition to the team. Anika, by Painted Black. Awesome Annie arrived with us at the end of January and has already scored her first BD win. Annie has spent most of her life as a happy hack and show jumper, our challenge over the next few months will be to persuade Annie that she wants to be a prancing para pony ~ watch this space!

At the end of January all four horses headed down to the Unicorn Centre for two terrific days of squad training. Im pleased to report that each horse put their best hoof forward and we now have a competition plan and clear goals to aim at!
